Discover Amsterdam Canal Cruise & Rijksmuseum

For centuries, Amsterdam has been celebrated for its water-focused beauty and as home to some of the world`s finest museums. This enriching half-day excursion begins with a scenic cruise along the city`s UNESCO World Heritage canals, floating past graceful merchant mansions, churches, and warehouses from the Dutch Golden Age in the 16th and 17th centuries. Then, enjoy time at one of the true greats as you visit the Rijksmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands. Founded in 1798, the Rijksmuseum displays around 8,000 objects from its million-piece collection, and is dedicated to arts, crafts, and history from 1200 AD to modern times, including paintings by Vermeer, Hals, Rembrandt, and other masters.

Amsterdam Street Art & Graffiti Museum

Spend time exploring one of Amsterdam`s most unique museums—STRAAT! This cutting-edge attraction in a former warehouse on the NDSM wharf tells the story of graffiti and street art, and how "urban artivism" can be a powerful tool for social discourse. Learn about the hierarchy among graffiti artists; how street artists purposefully place their art in evocative locations; the differences between graffiti and street art; and all about the rebellious, anonymous, and independent nature of both. As you peruse the space, view nearly 200 works—some the size of outdoor walls—by more than 170 artists from around the globe. After your visit, you`re guaranteed to see every urban environment with a whole new perspective!

Anne Frank Virtual Reality Experience

Each year, millions of Amsterdam visitors from around the world flock to the Anne Frank House to see where the Otto Frank family and other Jews hid from the Nazis during WWII. This high-tech, small-group tour takes you along the route to Westerkerk, where 13-year-old Anne Frank walked to what became her final home. See what she could see from her hiding place, and learn about the diary she wrote that chronicled her fears, hopes, and the day-to-day realities of life in hiding. Using virtual reality (VR) technology, you`ll "enter" through the famous bookcase to explore the Secret Annex, whose rooms appear as though the Franks are still living there during the Nazi occupation of the early 1940s.

Into the Dutch Countryside: Amsterdam to Utrecht

Get off the beaten path and see the beautiful countryside outside of Amsterdam. Aboard a comfortable coach, stop along the banks of the Amstel River to see the stately 17th-century Riekermolen windmill before arriving in Utrecht, whose ancient city center features structures dating back to the High Middle Ages. Visit the Speelklok Museum, home to an amazing collection of self-playing musical instruments, then stroll through the Old Town to see the 14th-century Cathedral Tower, symbol of the city and the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. Van Gogh`s Arles

Stroll through Arles` historical city center, stopping along the way to see what inspired some of Vincent van Gogh`s most famous paintings. Few places boast such an astonishing collection of Roman ruins, and no visit to Arles is complete without a visit to the 1st-century Roman amphitheater that even today hosts sporting events. Then, see the theater where the Venus of Arles was discovered in 1651; 13th-century city gates; the Town Hall, built with stone quarried from the Roman theater; and the 12th-century Church of St. Trophime. Next, pass the Place du Forum café—still the same shade of yellow as when Van Gogh painted his "Café Terrace at Night" in 1888. Afterward, enjoy free time to explore on your own.

The Manade Ranch Culture of the Camargue

Get a taste of France`s wild and woolly side during this exciting excursion into the legendary Camargue, Western Europe’s largest river delta! As you transfer to your starting point, admire the vast plain with its brine lagoons, reed-covered marshes, rice paddies—and majestic pink flamingos that call the area home. Finally, arrive at a "manade", a livestock ranch that plays an integral role in this remarkable region. Meet the passionate people who work daily with Camargue horses and bulls according to age-old traditions. Hear about their breeding programs, and watch as the herdsmen sort the cattle. Afterward, enjoy a tasting of typical Camargue foods, including brandade (a mixture of cod and potatoes), local wine, and more.
